The Bobs Of The Blues
Bob Stroger, Bob Margolin, and Bob Corritore are masters of Chicago Blues, carrying inside the legends they played with “back in the day.” Onstage or recording together, they are Home and Family with the classic Blues that they live, and their own original songs. Music photographer Marilyn Stringer took this friendly photo and put it on the back cover of her book, Blues In the 21st Century. The soul in her photo and the music behind it inspired The Bobs of the Blues to deliberately work together.
Bob Stroger is Chicago Blues, playing his bass with older departed legends like Sunnyland Slim and Jimmy Rogers. Now he is the happiest Bluesman ever, touring the world and leading bands with his bass and singing and friendly personality.
Bob Margolin has been a bandleader, singing and playing guitar since 1980. Before that he spent seven years in Muddy Waters’ band, learning and earning respect. Bob has been around the block and around the world.
Bob Corritore has produced or played on countless CDs and is the center of the Phoenix Blues Scene for decades with his club, The Rhythm Room. The last few years Bob is recognized as one of the finest harmonica players on today’s scene and proves it on stages everywhere
All have recorded albums under their own names and been on many together. They’re appreciated individually. Now The Bobs of the Blues are ready to deliver their special musical magic together.
